The PatchLab Rugby Score Capture system is a web-based tool that allows tournament organisers to capture live scores from up to 7 fields simultaneously — with each score instantly displayed on a dedicated scoreboard screen, no app installation required.

The scoreboard display is designed to be shown on a TV, projector, or large monitor at your tournament venue. It automatically detects which fields are active and displays up to two fields side by side in real time.

Each field's score operator has a dedicated BLANK SCOREBOARD button. During half time, one tap blacks out that field's display — showing a pulsing "HALF TIME" message on the big screen. Tap again to resume instantly when play restarts.

Scores sync to the display screen in under a second using cloud messaging. The scoreboard updates the instant a try is tapped.

The tournament coordinator opens the landing page and selects a field — or shares a direct QR code link with each score operator. No logins, no passwords.
The operator enters the home and away team names, selects the age group, and starts the match timer. The scoreboard comes alive immediately.
Every try, conversion, penalty and drop kick is a single tap. Scores update on the big screen scoreboard in real time — no refreshing needed.
Tap the BLANK button at half time to black out the scoreboard. At full time, submit the match — the system prompts to email the result to the administrator.
All matches are saved in the History tab. Export the full tournament results as a CSV file for use in spreadsheets or official records.
